I ran across this video released in advance of Mary Kate O'Neil's forthcoming Nettwerk release Underground. I am not familiar with any of her previous work but this is a catchy Indie - Pop song. The album was co-produced by Jill Sobule and has a cadre if indie rock veterans as guests. Check it out.
Reviews, thoughts and general opinions on an eclectic mix of music. Including but not limted to Americana, Roots Rock, Alt-Country, Alternative, Indie Rock, Indie Pop, Blues, Bluegrass and Jazz.

John Doe - A Year in the Wilderness
John Doe’s Year in the Wilderness was a worthwhile journey for him and his fans. This album is literally haunted (listen to “Hotel Ghost”) with stories and reflections that offer exceptional depth. For example, on “Unforgiven” Doe says,”You say I'm good for nothing. So nothing's good enough for me. We all get what we deserve . . . unfortunately.” Doe is joined on this project by vocalists Kathleen Edwards, Aimee Mann and Jill Sobule and multi-instrumentalist Greg Leisz among others. The album showcases equal parts of his singer-songwriter brilliance and X era angst, even featuring one song co-written with Exene Cervenka. This is his best work in years.Listen to "The Golden State"
